It all started with a small idea to have a few “cute” farm animals. When our youngest of 5 kids graduated, we did not want to be left with nothing to keep us busy. January 2019 we bought our first two animals, Dre & Eminem (myotonic "fainting" goats). That was just the beginning of AWA farms. Next we added a mini zebu cow named Biggie with his companion Boer goat, Tupac, a mini donkey, Puffy and 2 female Boer goats, Latifah & Eve.
In 2020 our farm grew! As of June 2021 we have approx. 50 animals. Our vision for AWA farms is to mentor fostered young adults, special needs, and young adults in at risk situations. To involve middle and high school students with hands on experience with our animals. We have a huge heart for children in all situations.
We are excited to share our farm with each young adult that decides to come join us. We have so many exciting plans for AWA farms and cannot wait to get started sharing it with our community. The Hayloft- Helping All Young Lives Often Forever Together will be an on-site foster closet, along with future volunteer programs and summer camps. We are looking forward to seeing you all out on the farm!
Providing children with the essential items they need to thrive- at home, at school, at play, and in society.
Once we have our permanent location AWA will be open the the public! Be on the look out for our ‘Grand Opening‘ date.
Throughout each year we will have opportunities for middle and high school young adults to come work on the farm. Must be at least 13* years or older.
